Fruit forward and
well balanced with aromas and flavors of
raspberries, red licorice, caramel and cocoa. Sangiovese
is
well known for its food pairing versatily and pairs
well with grilled fish, pork, and wild game.
This vintage is crafted from Sangiovese from
our estate vineyard. After the grapes were removed
from their stems, they were cold-soaked and then fermented
in small, open-top bins; the must was punched down
by hand twice a day. The wine was then aged in a mixture
of new (33%) and neutral French oak barrels for 15
months.
